The learners of Hendrik Louw Primary take part in different Maths Olympiads and competitions. 

The Living Maths Olympiad for Grade R-7 also takes place in October. 
The University of Pretoria Olympiad for Grade 7-learners takes place on 22 October.

 Mark Doyle received a first prize for the Grade Four competition of the Living Maths South African Olympiad at the MTN Sciencentre on 18 November. He received a gold certificate and a Living Maths calculator.  More than 11 900 Grade Four learners took part.  Pictured here with him is Mr Steve Sherman, founder of Living Maths.
